'Gale over Birsay' Orkney 30 x 30 cm
This is one of the oil paintings I have just finished for the event Art around the Firth. The Beauly Gallery is one of the galleries taking part and have invited me as one of their artists to exhibit small paintings for the event. It is being held during 13th to 22nd June and is an open studio and gallery trail around the Beauly Firth here in the highlands of Scotland.
I am working on new paintings for the Aberdeen Art Fair, this year it is to be held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September at the Music Hall in Aberdeen. I have been invited to exhibit four paintings at the event by the gallery Country Frames near Insch. Aberdeenshire. It will be the third year I have shown work at the very well attended event and with Country Frames Gallery who work very hard each year to make their beautiful Gallery Stand very successful. I got a mention last year in the July edition of the Scottish Field magazine's art diary section with a photo of one of my paintings which sold at the event. Many thanks to Yvonne who owns the gallery with her husband Stuart for putting forward my details to the magazine.
