These are some of the paintings that I am putting into a group exhibition at a gallery here in Moray. The oil paintings are done from drawings and colour studies of the changing weather conditions here on the beaches close to home. As you can see there has been some stormy weather. When the weather has been too wet to sketch on the beach I have worked from the car facing the sea. The two paintings at the bottom are very small works only 10 x 8 inches. The gallery owner took photos of my work for the gallery website and I am using these so I can show you some of the work I have been doing during early spring through to summer. Still no sign of us having a computer running just yet and finally our camera also decided to die too! never mind the library computer allows me to keep in contact with you all. Sorry for not making as many comments as usual but I am with you all in spirit and enjoy following your blogs. The weather forecast tells us that tomorrow will be a rain free day! I wonder if it will happen, apparently America is having a heat wave! what a contrast in weather. The top painting is early morning, the second is a late afternoon storm, the next two are afternoon storms coming in at various stages. I love heading out to the beaches, I don't mind the rain though it isn't easy to work when I need to keep the windows of the car free from rain! fortunately when I am there the rain seems to hold off!
